Jason Goes To Hell: The Comic – A First-Person Review

Jason Goes To Hell: The Comic

In 1993, Jason Voorhees returned to the big screen in the film Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. The film was a critical and commercial failure, but it did spawn a comic book adaptation that is considered to be a much better version of the story.

The comic book, written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Mike McKone, tells the story of Jason’s resurrection and his quest for revenge against the Voorhees family. It is a dark and bloody tale that is full of violence and gore. However, it is also a surprisingly thoughtful and introspective story that explores the nature of evil and the cycle of violence.

The comic book is a must-read for any fan of Jason Voorhees or the Friday the 13th franchise. It is a well-written and well-illustrated story that does justice to the character of Jason and the mythology of the Friday the 13th films.

Why a Jason Goes To Hell Comic is Necessary

As a lifelong fan of the Friday the 13th franchise, I was disappointed when Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday was released in 1993. The film was a departure from the previous films in the series, which had been largely slasher films with a focus on suspense and gore. Jason Goes to Hell was more of a supernatural horror film, with Jason Voorhees being resurrected as a demon. While the film had its fans, it was not well-received by critics or audiences, and it was the lowest-grossing film in the franchise.

Despite its flaws, I believe that Jason Goes to Hell has the potential to be a great comic book. The film’s supernatural elements could be explored in more depth, and the story could be expanded to include more characters and storylines. A comic book could also provide a more satisfying to Jason’s story than the film did.

Here are a few reasons why I believe a Jason Goes to Hell comic is necessary:

  • The film’s supernatural elements could be explored in more depth. The film briefly touches on Jason’s demonic nature, but it could be explored in more depth in a comic book. A comic book could show how Jason became a demon, and it could explore his powers and abilities.
  • The story could be expanded to include more characters and storylines. The film’s focus on Jason Voorhees meant that there was little time for other characters or storylines. A comic book could flesh out these characters and storylines, and it could give us a better understanding of the world of Friday the 13th.
  • A comic book could provide a more satisfying to Jason’s story. The film’s ending was divisive, with some fans finding it to be too abrupt and unsatisfying. A comic book could provide a more satisfying to Jason’s story, and it could give fans the closure they deserve.

I believe that a Jason Goes to Hell comic book could be a great way to revisit the franchise and to give Jason Voorhees’ story a more satisfying . With the right creative team, a comic book could do justice to the film’s potential and could create a new chapter in the Friday the 13th saga.
